Faith-based organizations are roughly a third of America's charitable sector and compete for a fraction of its dedicated funding. Most of that gap is not eligibility. It is information.

Churches are routinely told they cannot receive grants. That is not accurate. Funders will not underwrite worship or evangelism — but the food pantry, the after-school program, the recovery ministry, the housing initiative, the senior services, and the youth center are all fundable, and many congregations are already running them without ever having asked.
